Lighthouse Guild Annual LIGHTYEARS Gala Salutes Visionaries
Marios Damianides and Guide Dog Foundation and America’s VetDogs

NEW YORK –Lighthouse Guild, the leading-not-for profit vision and healthcare organization, held its annual LightYears Gala on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Mandarin Oriental, 80 Columbus Circle at 60th Street, in Manhattan.  The event was attended by several hundred guests, including physicians, artists, and members of the business and civic community, all dedicated to addressing the needs of people who are blind or visually impaired. 


















Honorees for 2016, Marios Damianides, of Ernst & Young LLP,

and Board Member of Lighthouse Guild was saluted for his vision

and leadership and the Guide Dog Foundation and American’s

VetDogs for its work training guide dogs for people who are blind

and service animals for our Armed Forces Veterans. Dylan Dreyer

of NBC’s TODAY  show served as host for the evening program

and Charlie, NBC’s “Puppy with a Purpose” was the special guest.

The evening’s festivities kicked off with a cocktail

reception, followed by dinner, awards ceremony and dancing.
